OFFICE MEMORANDUM
SUBJECT: GRANT OF SPECIAL
RELIEF ALLOWANCE
The Government of Sindh has been pleased to sanction with effect from 1st July 2003 till further orders a Special Relief Allowance
@
15% of the basic pay p. m. to all the Provincial Government employees in
BPS-1
to BPS-22.
2. The amount of this Allowance: (i)
will be subject to Income Tax.
(ii) will be admissible during leave and the entire
period of
LPR except during
extra-ordinary leave.
(iii) will not be treated as part of emoluments for the purpose of calculation of pension/gratuity and recovery of
House
Rent.
(iv) will not be admissible to the employees during the tenure of their posting/deputation abroad.
3. The above Relief should be
accommodated within the budgetary allocation for the year
2003-2004 by the respective. Administrative Departments and no supplementary grants would be given on this account.
