Subject: GRANT OF 10% INCREASE IN PENSION TO CIVIL PENSIONERS OF THE GOVERNMENT OF KHYBER PAKHTUNKHWA
Dear Sir,
The Competent Authority is pleased to sanction w.e.f 01-07-2019 and until
further order, an
increase @
10% of Net Pension of Pensioners of
the Khyber
Pakhtunkhwa Government.
2- The 15% increase in pension allowed vide para 12 (i) of Finance Department's circular letter No.FD(PRC)1-1/2011 Dated 14.07.2011, 10% increase in pension as allowed vide para 1 of this
Department circular letter bearing No.FD(SOSR-
11)4-111/2015 Dated 14-07-2015, 10% increase as allowed vide Finance Department circular letter No.FD(SOSR-11)4-111/2016 Dated
14-07-2016, 10% increase in pension as
allowed para 1 of the
Finance Department circular letter No.FD(SOSR-11)4-111/2017
Dated 14-07-2017 and 10% increase in pension as allowed
vide para
1 of the
Finance Department circular letter No.FD(SOSR-11)4-111/2018 Dated 10-07-2018 shall also be admissible to new pensioners who would retire on or after O 1-07-2019.
3- The 10% increase in pension as mentioned in para 1 above will also be admissible to the pensioners who would retire on or after 01-07-2019.
4- For the purpose of admissibility of increase in pension sanctioned circular letter, the terms "net pension" means "pension being drawn minu: " Allowance".
5- The increase will also be admissible on a family pension granted under the pension-cum-gratuity Scheme, 1954, Liberalized Pension Rules, 1977, on pension sanctioned under the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Civil Services (Extra Ordinary Pension) Rule as well as on Compassionate Allowance under CSR-353.
6- If the
gross pension sanctioned by the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is shared with any other government in accordance with the rules laid down in Part-IV of Appendix-Ill to the Accounts Code, Volume-I, the amount of increase in pension will be apportioned between the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the other government concerned, on a proportionate basis.

7- The increase in pension sanctioned through this circular letter will not be admissible on Special Additional Pension allowed in lieu of pre-retirement orderly allowance.
8- The benefit of an increase in pension
sanctioned vide this circular letter will also be admissible to those pensioners of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
Government, who are residing abroad
(other than those residing in India and Bangladesh) who retired
on or after 15-08-1947 and are not entitled to or are not in receipt
of pension increase under
the British Government's Pension (increase) Acts. The payment will be made at the applicable rate of exchange.
